Jose Luis graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2006 from San Pablo CEU University, Madrid, Spain. Where he embarked on his career at the FREMAP Sport and Orthopaedic Hospital Seville and then onto SATO Sport Medical Centre. He has always been passionate about sports and especially football and in 2016 he secured the Head Physiotherapy job for the Iraqi Olympic Football team in the 2016 Rio Olympics. He then went onto work at ASPETAR Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, where he stayed for 9 years. Jose loved his time in Qatar but due to his exceptional skills, was presented with the opportunity to work for Liverpool Football Club which he grabbed with both hands. The very popular first team physio, reported that he'll always feel part of Liverpool FC and it will always have a special place in his heart. He then continued his career with the Libya National Team as the Head Medic for the Arab Cup qualifications and then with ROOF Football Agency Physiotherapy Services as well as being the Senior Physiotherapist for the Senegal National Team in 2019 in Egypt, where Senegal came runners-up and also in 2022 in Cameroon, where Senegal won the Africa Cup of Nations. His passion for football continues, as he supports the Qatar National Football team in the Asia Cup 2024 as Senior Physiotherapist, alongside his role with KUUR Rehabilitation.   

 

Jose puts the upmost importance on being at the top of his game not only in the practice of his skills but also in innovation and in treating his patients holistically and with a compassionate attitude. Jose is an exceptional sports physiotherapist with extensive experience of working with athletes at the highest level. Through his experience working with world class athletes, he is able to treat a wide variety of patients according to the latest sports medicine developments and evidence which is what he strives to provide to our patients at KUUR now.  

 

Jose Luis is fluent in French, Arabic, Spanish and English.
